This is Christian Michael Copits' Memorial Web Page

Please let the music and pictures load - it may take three or four minutes... Thank you.

This page is dedicated to our son, who is now an angel.

On the Day after Christmas in 1996 we had the worst tragedy that a family can have. Our beloved son, ChristianMichael Copits died unpectedly at about ten A.M. in his bed. He died totally unexpectedly of a very fast-moving and virulent form of pneumonia called klebsiella. We didn't even know that he had it. There were no warning signs, and he even asked his mommy for his favorite toy which she gave to him. When she went back up to check on him about an hour later, he was gone....

Although Christian Michael was multiply-handicapped, he did not let that deter him from being happy and enjoying as much of life as he could. We have included his story in a link below. But, even through all of his handicaps and problems, he was always smiling. We will miss his cheerful little voice saying "Hi, Daddy" and "Hi, Mommy Doodles" Hopefully, this page will remind you to tell your family and friends how you care about them. Christian was a very special little boy and knew that he was loved. We have no regrets in that, and find a bit of comfort in the knowledge. If you get nothing else out of this page other than turning away from your computer and telling one person - be it a friend, a child or your partner that you love them, we'll be thankful.

Christian Michael, our angel on earth is now our angel in heaven.

How lucky I am to have known someone who was so hard to say goodbye to.

Little Angels

When God calls little children

to dwell with Him above,

We mortals sometimes question

the wisdom of His love.

For no heartache compares with

the death of one small child.

Who does so much to make our world

seem wonderful and mild.

Perhaps God tires of calling

the aged to His fold,

So He picks a rosebud

before it can grow old.

God knows how much we need them

and so He takes but few

To make the land of Heaven

more beautiful to view.

Believing this is difficult

still somehow we must try,

The saddest word mankind knows

will always be "Goodbye".

So when a little child departs

we who are left behind

Must realize God loves children.

Angels are hard to find.

The Song you are Listening to is "Precious Child"

Written and Performed by Karen Taylor-Good

In my dreams you are alive and well,

Precious child, precious child.

In my mind, I see you clear as a bell

Precious child, precious child.

In my soul there is a hole that can never be filled,

But in my heart there is hope, 'cause you are with me, still.

In my heart, you live on - always there, never gone

Precious child, you left too soon...

Though it may be true that we're apart,

You will live forever in my heart.

In my plans, I was the first to leave,

Precious child, precious child..

But in this world, I was left here to grieve,

Precious child, my precious child..

In my soul there is a hole that can never be filled,

But in my heart there is hope,

And you are with me, still.

In my heart, you live on - always there, never gone

Precious child, you left too soon...

Though it may be true that we're apart

You will live forever in my heart.

God knows I want to hold you, see you, touch you..

And maybe there's a Heaven, and some day I will again.

Please know you're not forgotten, until then.

In my heart, you live on - always there, never gone

Precious child, you left too soon...

Though it may be true that we're apart

You will live forever in my heart.

This is a little piece of artwork that is made using Christians fingerprint as the body of the bear. He loved looking at it.
